Children and Youth Ministry @ LMC
At Lyttelton Methodist Church, we are dedicated to nurturing the spiritual growth of our children and youth. Our vibrant and dynamic Children and Youth Ministry provides a safe and welcoming space for young people to explore their faith, build meaningful relationships, and develop their God-given talents. We offer a variety of programs and activities designed to inspire and engage the next generation of believers.
Small Groups
Our small groups are a cornerstone of our ministry, offering a place where children and youth can come together in a more intimate setting. These groups encourage open discussion, foster deep friendships, and provide spiritual guidance tailored to the unique challenges and experiences of young people today. Through Bible studies, prayer, and fellowship, our small groups help our youth grow in their faith and support one another.
Chrysalis
Chrysalis is a special program aimed at helping young people deepen their relationship with Christ. It’s a spiritual retreat designed to give teenagers a fresh perspective on their faith, providing them with the tools they need to live a Christ-centered life. Chrysalis is a transformative experience that strengthens the spiritual foundation of our youth.

Training

Our training programs cover various aspects of ministry, leadership, and discipleship, empowering our youth to take active roles within the church and their communities. Children’s Church
Our Children’s Church is a lively and engaging space where children can experience God’s love in a way that is fun and understandable. Through songs, stories, and activities, we teach Biblical truths and values. Children’s Church is a place where young hearts are touched by the love of Jesus, laying a strong foundation for their spiritual journey.
Youth Programs
Under the guidance of Oarabetse, our youth programs thrive. Oarabetse’s passion for youth ministry is evident in every activity, ensuring that our young people are not only engaged but also feel valued and supported.
Friday Night Youth
Friday nights are full of excitement at Lyttelton Methodist Church! Our Friday Night Youth program offers a fun and safe environment where teenagers can relax, socialize, and explore their faith. Each week, we gather for games, worship, discussions, and a message that resonates with the challenges and opportunities that young people face today.

Holiday Clubs During school holidays, we offer exciting and enriching holiday clubs. These clubs are filled with activities, crafts, games, and Bible lessons, providing a fun and engaging way for children to spend their time off from school. Our holiday clubs are a great opportunity for children to make new friends and learn more about God’s love. Sunday Teen Church Our Sunday Teen Church services are held at 9:30 am and 11:00 am, offering a space specifically for teenagers to come together in worship. These services are designed to be relevant, relatable, and inspiring, helping teens to connect with God and each other. Through music, interactive messages, and small group discussions, Sunday Teen Church provides a meaningful worship experience.
