Kairos Prison Ministry

At Lyttelton Methodist Church, we are committed to extending God’s love and grace to all, especially to those who need it most.

Under the guidance of the Late John Francis and with the support of our dedicated society members, Lyttelton Methodist Church has become an active participant in this transformative program. Through the Friends Who Care commission, and in partnership with Kairos, we share the message of God’s love and forgiveness with those who are incarcerated, as well as with their families who are deeply affected.

Our Ministry Involves:

• Spreading the Word of God: Our volunteers spend time inside correctional facilities, offering spiritual support, guidance, and the message of hope to those who are incarcerated.
• Supporting the Ministry Team: We provide prayer, encouragement, and resources to those who minister directly within the prison walls.
• Welcoming the Transformed: As a community, we attend and celebrate with those who have experienced transformation, particularly during the closing ceremonies of each initiative.
